Audrey Mae Barrs, age 87 born to Joseph and Wilhelmina Skaros. It is with regret we announce her passing from heart problems.
She is survived by her children, David Marshall and Sandra (George) Davidson, chosen during her marriage to Frank Marshall. Also survived by her husband, George Barrs, two step children, Rick and Debra Barrs, Sister Shirley Palk of Oliver, BC and grandsons, Kelly (Chrissy), Tyler, Travis and two great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Wilhelmina and brother Mel.
She was born in Hanley, SK and later the family relocated to Canwood, SK where she grew up on the small dairy farm. Eventually the family moved to Oliver, BC then to Courtenay, where she began her bookkeeping career which she enjoyed most of her lifetime.
She was active in curling, bowling, golf and for many years was an active member and served as with the fraternal Order of the Eagles. During her last few years she spent many hours playing bridge and whist.
She had many great friends. I would like to thank Jim and Ada Baker and the Doctor's and Nurse's in ICU. Services will be advised at a later date.
