On the morning of February 13, 2022, Mom went peacefully to heaven.
Mom will be deeply missed by her son: Gary Ogden (partner Cindy Byers); former daughter-in-law: Tracy Ogden; daughter: Suzanne Johnston (Clay); grandson: Branden Ogden (Kelsey); great granddaughter: Ellie Ogden; granddaughter: Lyndsey Marie Ogden.
Our mom was born in Rockland, Ontario; she was the baby of 14 children who have all preceded her. Mom's dad was a blacksmith and her mom was a homemaker.
Mom married Roy Kenneth Ogden in 1961. Dad was a member of the R.C.A.F and mom worked as a ledger keeper at the RCMP in Ontario. Mom and Dad's last posting was in 1974 to Comox, B.C., where they eventually retired.
Mom stayed home and enjoyed raising her children and taking care of household. She enjoyed riding her bicycle all over Comox! Everyone would remember our mom from the miles that she would put on everyday walking to and from the mall. Mom also enjoyed watching the ocean from Point homes while waiting for her husband to come home from fishing, and having coffee with dad at the coffee shop with their friends.
Mom left everyone she met with a lasting impression. She treated everyone with love, respect and kindness as this is how she wanted to be treated; her beauty was her kindness and infectious smile that lit her face up and made her eyes twinkle.
Mom moved in with her daughter and son-in-law in 2016 when the house in Comox, B.C. became too much for her to take care of. She enjoyed new adventures like camping, walking to the mall and vacationing. Her most memorable vacation was her first cruise to the Caribbean.

YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE MOTHER
You can only have one mother,
Patient, kind and true;
No other friend in all the world
Will be the same to you.
When other friends forsake you,
To mother you will return;
For all her loving kindness
She asks nothing in return.
As we look upon her picture
Sweet memories we recall;
Of a face so full of sunshine
And a smile for one and all.
Sweet Jesus take this message
To our dear mother up above;
Tell her how we miss her
And give her all our love.
The family would like to thank the Cold Lake Home Care Team, especially Cabri, also the Palliative Care Team for their kindness and support during this difficult time; as well the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton.
There will be a small service this summer when we lay her to rest with our father at Mission Hill Cemetery in Courtney, B.C.
