It is with great sadness we regret to announce the passing of Barbara Grace MacKenzie.

She often spoke of Quadra Island, when she was young she lived there for a short time and absolutely loved it. Barb also was an avid piano player. After high school graduation Barb attended Sprott-Shaw Business College in Victoria.

They settled in Armstrong BC where Barb owned and lovingly managed a small cafe, "The Donut Hut".
After retirement they moved back to the Comox Valley. Where Barb enjoyed volunteering at Thrifty Foods. Also went bowling with special needs adults in the community. Barb was an enthusiastic gardener, it was her passion. Cruising to different parts of the world was also a great love. As well traveling to Italy,France and the UK. Barb and Dan especially loved Hawaii, they visited 13 times!
