With regret, sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara our wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Barb spent her last four years as a resident of The Views at St Joseph's in Comox, BC. Barb left us in her 81st year, peacefully, surrounded by her family in the evening of November 2, 2018.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she moved west to Victoria with her family in 1946, where she graduated Mt View High School in 1955. Barb was employed by the D.N.D. where she met and married a sailor in 1957.

Barb spent many years as a supporting, devoted military spouse and mother, while also having employment in the banking field with moves from Victoria to Edmonton, Cold Lake, Beaverlodge, AB, Cumberland, BC, Lahr, Germany, and back to Comox.

Barb is survived and missed by her loving husband, Ted, of 61 plus years; their children Kim, Steve and Kathy; grandchildren Kari, Ryan, Amy and Ashley; great grandchildren Tenley and Tegan, as well as sister in laws Muriel Clarke in Victoria and Debra Bowie in Kelowna and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barb was predeceased by her parents, a sister and two brothers. At Barb's request a private family gathering will be held at a later date. Please join us in remembering Barb by visiting our memorial at www.piercysmtwashingtonfuneral.com.
