HOFFSTETER

Benjamin

(August 25, 1924 - February 28, 2008)

Gentle Ben passed away peacefully on February 28th at 7:00pm at Leduc Extendicare in Alberta. He left this life the way he lived it, with peace and dignity and humor.

Ben has gone to be with Margaret, his wife and best friend of more than fifty years who sadly passed January 11, 2005. They both touched many lives and had numerous friends over the years. They began their journey in Edmonton on the farm and moved here to the Valley where they lived for over thirty years before moving back to Alberta five years ago. They also loved to travel and spent six month a year in Arizona. The loved to fish, golf, travel, camp, play cards and enjoy life with friends and family. Both always on the go is what we'll remember.

Ben will be dearly missed by his four Daughters Helen Leblanc (of Alberta - her husband Leon and their children Wade, Noelle and Erin), Bonnie Lindsay (of BC - her husband Bill and their two children Ellen Dixon (Mike) and Erika, Barbara Harrison (of Alberta - partner Brian and her two children Jeremy and Dylan, and Donna York (of BC - partner Wayne). He also has two great Grandchildren who adored him, Kasia and Austin.

He is survived also by his sister Erna and Brother Herman both of Alberta.

There will be a private celebration of Ben's life in Edmonton.

They are gone but certainly never forgotten. In our hearts forever and those of anyone fortunate enough to have met him. On behalf of us all, thanks for everything Grampa.
