Meehan, Bertha
February 2, 1935 - July 18, 2005
Bertha passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2005 at Glacier View Lodge with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Everett & Muriel McNeil and her brother Clarence. Bertha is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Jim Meehan of Merville; her daughter Maria Salo (Dennis) of Merville; grandson Brian; brother Gordie McNeil (Loretta) of Hyde Creek; sister Jackie Murphy of Vancouver; and nieces and nephews Dawn, Carla, Holli, Jackie, Gena, Gene, Doug and Vicki. Bertha was loving, kind, caring, and compassionate. She had a great sense of humor and joked with everyone around her. Bertha was an avid gardener who also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and being a homemaker. A thank you to Dr. Schovanek, Dr. Aiken and Dr. Lundy, nurses and staff at Glacier View Lodge and a special thanks to Joan Dryden. A Celebration of Bertha’s Life will be held at COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 1:00 pm.
