October 4, 1954 - June 29, 2020
With her children by her side, Bonnie passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Pre-deceased by her mom Audrey Howarth, and husband Robert Bell, she is survived by her beloved children and grandchildren: Diane den Otter (Jason, Evan and Audrey), Dustin Matwick (Eligh), Uncles John and Charles and their families, special friends Norine and Phyllis, and many more dear friends who loved her.
Raised in East Vancouver, Bonnie had deep roots in the Mt Pleasant neighbourhood where she formed life-long friendships. Destined for a life of adventure, marriage, jobs, and family life took her to three provinces and one territory. After returning to her roots in Mt Pleasant for many years, she moved with her family and settled in the Comox Valley for the third time in her life.
Quick to laugh, full of grace and humility, she practiced gratitude and acceptance in all that she did and faced. She leaves behind a legacy of love - she will be forever remembered as magical and always exactly what we needed. We were so fortunate to have her as our mom, Nana, and friend.
