Brian Dalziel

April 10, 1955 – August 5, 2021
Dalziel, Brian Edward passed away in Port Alberni on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 66 years after a brief battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents Ronald and Mildred Dalziel. Survived by wife Deb, son Brody (Rene), daughter Carly (Cole), son Cole (Chantel), two grandchildren Declan and Eva, and numerous extended family and friends.
Brian lived life to the fullest, up for anything and undeniably always the life of every party. His quick wit and storytelling with a huge smile on his face would have all of his family and long time friends laughing along with his amazing and easily recognizable contagious laugh.
Everyone loved his stories and how he would almost always crack up laughing before he would get to the punch lines of his own jokes. He loved spending time with and was always incredibly proud of the love of his life Deb, his amazing kids, and his adorable grandchildren.
So many amazing times were had down the canal fishing or having large epic gatherings with his extended family and longtime friends on Hornby. Always so genuinely happy to greet you and loved teasing and stirring up trouble whenever the opportunity would strike.
Growing up in a family of loggers, Brian lived and breathed logging and wouldn’t have had it any other way. He spent years logging around the west coast of the island with a majority of these working for Jack Mckay and most recently starting up his own logging company along with his two sons.
A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held at the Alberni Athletic Hall on Saturday, August 28, at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kitshoff, Dr. Woodley, Dr. Meyer, Dr. Du Plessis, and Dr. Ksienski. Also to everyone at the Ty Watson House for their care of Brian during his stay.
The family requests that those who wish to express sympathy to please consider making a donation to the Ty Watson House or the West Coast General Hospital Foundation in Brian Dalziel’s name.
