Brian passed away at home with family by his side after a short but devastating illness which he faced with courage and dignity. His wife Sylvie, the love of his life, will mourn him deeply, as will his sisters Dot (Bob), Ann, Laura (Terry), Joan (Aiex), Joanne (Rene) and Mary, and his brothers Ray (Bonnie), Barry (Paula), Gordon and Rod. Brian will be sadly missed by his stepchildren Matt and Clara (Greg), his grandchildren Josie and Charlie and many loving nephews and nieces and their families. They will all miss his sense of fun and his quiet wisdom. Brian was born to Mabel and Arthur Richardson in Seaham Harbour, England. From an early age he had a passion for books and a keen interest in history. In everything he did, from carpentry to his work with children, Brian was a perfectionist but he didn’t take himself too seriously and could lighten any situation with his wry sense of humour. Brian was a gentle man, a loving husband and a good friend. Please remember him with a smile. The family would like to thank Dr. Harris and the Home Care nurses for their kindness and excellent care.
