BRIOSI, Bruce Victor

Bruce Victor Briosi, age 62, passed peacefully away at his home in Royston, BC, September 26th, 2010, after a valiant fight with the kind of things that just make our bodies quit on us. Bruce Briosi was born August 2, 1948 in Lethbridge, Alberta to David and Florence Briosi. He married Judy Ann Carlson on September 18, 1971 and along came the baby carriage with Chariti Adel, Shane Derrick and Shae Rowan. After some time, Chris Dennis (Judy’s sister) joined the merry family along with Adam Eugene, Erin Elizabeth and Nicole Christine. “The more, the merrier” he would say. As the years past, he became concerned he would NEVER be a PAPA until the day the grandkids started to arrive: Michael Mark Chase, Rayne Orion Briosi-Ingborg, Adien Ford Briosi-Ingborg and Elora Dagmar Alexander. And he was happy.

As for Bruce’s working life, after a very brief and failed stint at cattle wrestling, Bruce had a long and successful career in the Oilfield as an Engineer. Although he worked in many countries, the most rewarding part of his career was the time that he spent overseas in Yemen. He always talked about the people that he worked with there and how much he really enjoyed it.

Bruce was a very giving and caring man. He was always ready to help anyone who needed a hand, from homework to moving. He liked fishing and would take just about anyone out when he was not working. Although he was born on the prairies, he considered Vancouver Island his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4019 Island Highway, Royston, BC, on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Please feel welcome to come and share a story or two. If you need more information, please call Chariti at 250.334.2310

3 words that Bruce would use to sum up life…

“That’s Lever B!”
