Carol Lynn Morfitt

Dec 28, 1956 - June 24, 2016

After a courageous long fought battle with cancer, Carol passed away in Comox.

Carol never once complained about the hardships that she had to endure

fighting this terrible disease. She faced each day with a positive outlook. Carol was the strongest person that I have ever known.

Carol, who was born in Campbell River, spent much of her youth and early adult years in Gold River. After moving to the Comox Valley, she worked first for the Comox District Free Press, then the School Board and finally, for many happy years at the Comox Valley Regional District.

Carol embraced life whole heartedly. She enjoyed sports, the outdoors, camping, travelling and socializing. However, it was her family who gave her the most joy in life. She loved being a Grandmother!

Left to cherish her memory forever is her devoted husband Tom, her beloved daughters Abby (Mark), Jenny (C.J.) and Katey; her step-children: Dana (Burt) and Kevin (Jeanine); eleven grandchildren; her sister Pat (Ken) plus many other relatives and close friends.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Karl and Kay

Dushenka and her sister Rita.

Carol’s hope and desire was that everyone, not think of her and shed tears, but instead --- will remember all the good times shared. She will live on in the hearts of many.

We would like to say a special thank-you to Dr. C. Ostry and to all of you who helped to make Carol comfortable.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. Piercy’s Funeral Home, Courtenay, B. C.
