February 4, 1942 - September 23, 2022
Lynn passed away peacefully early in the morning of Sept 23. Lynn leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Kate and Tom Morgan; her grandson Austin Morgan and girlfriend Kari; her brother and sister-in-law Dorien and Elaine Brosnihan; her sister Roberta Thatcher and partner Mike; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her son, Christopher Robinson, and her brother, David Brosnihan.
Lynn was born in South Africa and retained strong ties to her home country. She immigrated to Canada in the 1960s to be a speech therapist, living first in Edmonton and then settling on Vancouver Island. She was an outgoing, adventurous soul who always preferred to be active. She was an excellent tennis player, bridge player, crafter and gardener. She loved the outdoors; hiking and swimming at every opportunity. She had dear friends that she cherished wherever she went, including from her time in Victoria, on Gabriola and in the Comox Valley.
In her retirement she loved volunteering, with the Sid Williams Theatre for a number of years and until her death with the Comox Valley Glacier Grannies (Stephen Lewis Foundation). Many of the Granny members became good friends, and the support from the group was so appreciated in her last years. Lynn battled both with dementia and with heart and lung disease in her later years, but until the last few weeks of her life she still was happiest when being active.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Wainberg for his kind and steadfast care. A memorial service will be held in Comox with date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stephen Lewis Foundation would be appreciated. Lynn will be dearly missed.
