TAFT, Charles (Charlie) Thomas
Charles passed away on March 17, 2015 in Courtenay, BC. He was born in Liverpool, England on February 18, 1928. He joined the Merchant Navy at an early age and travelled the world in the early 1950’s. He arrived in Canada and decided to stay and put down roots in Ottawa, Ontario where he was re-acquainted with his wife to be Josie. They finally ended up on Vancouver Island in 1990 and made it their home.
Predeceased by his parents Jonathan & Emily, and sister Phyllis. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Josie, his daughters Pam (Phillip) and Barbara (Brian) and grandson Paul (Sandy). The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Comox Valley Seniors Village for their kind & considerate care of Charles during his residence there.
