Charles Victor Murray born April 3, 1936 passed away on December 29, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Charles will be remembered in the Comox Valley as "the Christmas tree man".
Charles is predeceased by parents William and Jean Murray (McFarlane) and sisters Evelyn (Walter) Hodgins, Gladys (William) Grycan and Francis (Richard) Thatcher.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Gemma (Robitaille) Murray. Charles and Gemma were married 59 years. Charles is survived by 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Charles was very proud of Jade who is in nursing school and Katelyn who graduated 2020. He cherished his short time with little 4 year old Scarlet.
Charles served 22 years in the RCAF, stationed in; Claresholm, Alberta, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Lahr, Germany and Comox, BC
Charles and Gemma loved the outdoors and in 1980 they started Murray Christmas Tree Farms. They have many long time treasured customers who became dear friends.
