Finnie, Charlotte
Charlotte was born in Mansfield, England on February 10, 1906 and passed away peacefully in the Extended Care Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital on August 3, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1957. Charlotte is lovingly remembered by her sons Keith (Dorothy) and Donald (Mary). She was a cherished grandmother to Lynn Fitzpatrick (John) and Keith (Gloria), Marianne and Douglas Finnie and Karen (Lee) Roder. Great-grandmother to Peter and Samantha Raskovsky, Julia Simmons-Finnie and Ben, Sarah and Tom Fitzpatrick. Charlotte came with her family to Canada in 1921 and settled in Windsor, Ontario. She moved to Comox in 1992. Charlotte had a great sense of humour and a host of little verses for every occasion. Her family meant the world to her. Her family wishes to thank the nurses in ECU and Dr. John Fitzpatrick for their tender care, and Rev. Fr. George Daley for his comforting pastoral care.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 12th at 4:00pm at St. John the Divine Anglican Church in Courtenay. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
