"God could not be everywhere, so She invented Mothers"
Surrounded by her family, Mum went to join the angels on her own terms to be that little girl again on June 5th. Mum lived her whole life in the Comox Valley and her family was her delight.
Mum was predeceased by her parents Olaf and Johanna Odebust, brother Austein and sister Nelly as well as her husband Jake. She leaves behind daughter Leslie Pratt (Steve, Christopher, Kari, Tenley and Tegan), sons Wayne (Michele, Tyler, Ashley, Hilary and Lucus), Brad (Jennifer) and Daryl (Margaret, Austein, and Tristan). The family is mourning her passing but is filled with joy that she was with us in life.
All of her family was special to Mum but she wanted to acknowledge her nieces Lori Hamilton in Surrey, Lorna Patterson in Victoria, Laura Hughes in Australia and Sarah Brandon in Vancouver for being there for her.
Private family arrangements. Mum has requested donations to either innovativecommunities.org Nepal Education, or to the Comox Valley Hospice.
The family would like to thank Mum's wonderful friends, neighbours and relatives.
