Feb 12, 1970 - Jan 28, 2018
It with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Chris, taken away from us much too soon. Chris passed peacefully with his wife, mother and sister at his side. Missing him already, forever and always.

Chris was born February 12, 1970 in Ontario, and moved to Whitehorse, Yukon at the age of 9.

Chris loved his many years living in Whitehorse and made so many wonderful memories with his Mom Vicki, his little sister Talitha and many friends. Chris deeply enjoyed spending time playing sports, and was actively involved in multiple service organizations. He married Linda and became a loving father to Gina and Brad.

He began his career as a 9-1-1 Telecommunications Operator in the RCMP Whitehorse Operational Communications Centre, and continued in this role when he relocated with his family to the Comox Valley in 2010.

Chris' most recent pastime was walking his dog Ozzie at Mack Laing Park, and sipping a Tim Horton's tea while watching the waves roll in at Point Holmes.

Chris is survived by his wife Linda, mother Vicki Bailie, stepdad George Railian (Kevin Wallace & family), his children Brad Fike and Gina Sparling (Sean), sister Talitha-Allison (Derek Sigurdson), Aunt Gerrie and family in California, Uncle David (Brenda) and family in Ontario.

Nieces and nephews Paris, Maraya, Keira, Gabby, Allister, Terry-Lee (Joshua), Myranda, Joshua (Mandi), Jessie and Jordan. Sisters-in-law Cathie Bolstad (Kevin), Jeanne Kucherean and Denise Leschart.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. David Brailey, Dr. Kimberley, Dr. Matous, staff at North Island Hospital and Hospice at the Views, Comox Valley Hospice Society, friends and family for all of their help, understanding, compassion and love during this extremely difficult time. Your support helped more than you could ever know.

Friends and colleagues are welcome to drop in any time between 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 to join Chris' family in celebrating his life at Crown Isle Resort, Courtenay, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charities near and dear to Chris' heart: BC Children's Hospital, ALS Society of BC or Comox Valley Hospice Society.
