Charles Albin “Chuck” Hanson was taken from us on October 9th, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. Chuck was predeceased by his daughter Lynn and his son Lee, his granddaughter Jamie Lee Hanson, his son-in-law Randy Gibson, his parents Anna and Albin Hanson, his brother Lorne Hanson and his nephew Troy Litzenberger. Chuck will be ever loved and deeply missed by his wife Noreen, daughter Lesley Gibson, son Ken Hanson, stepson David Lewry, granddaughter Jillian Gibson and partner Glen Seidel, four grandsons: Allan Gibson, Kenny, Terry and Jesse Hanson, his sister and brother-in-law Deanna and Ron Litzenberger and nephew Robin, his sister Velma Zakus and her family, his brother and sister-in-law Vern and Marlene Hanson and their family and Chuck’s little pet and constant companion Howard. Chuck was well-known in the logging industry in B.C. and after retiring he was owner/operator of Comox Valley Security retiring again in 1996. He and Noreen traveled to many countries only to realize how much he loved the Comox Valley — playing golf with the Filberg Seniors and volunteering with Comox Valley Peer Councillors. Cremation arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD. At Chuck’s request there will be no service.
