MacPhail, Colin George
Born in Vancouver August 6th, 1930, passed away June 1st, 2004 in Comox after a struggle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1991, his parents Neil, Mary and also brother Neil. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, daughter Kate Nightingale (Keith) Sam and Andrew, son Donald (Carol) Derek, Curtis and Kevin, daughter Colleen Miller (Steve) Stephanie and Spencer, son Rod (Holly) Amanda, Travis and Tyler. Also survived by brother Donald and sister Bev and many nieces and nephews. Colin attended Kitsilano and Van Tech High Schools before joining the Vancouver Police Department in 1952. He retired to Fanny Bay, BC in 1982 after reaching the Rank of Detective. Thanks to Colin’s many friends in Fanny Bay who helped him during his struggle. Also to Dr. Konway and the 2nd floor nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox. No Service by request. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Agency would be appreciated.
