Cory Bee, we miss you. Your spirit, courage, humour and compassion have touched us all, and we will be guided by your memory on our own journeys. You were a woman of both strength and quest; an advocate for equality and justice for women; a lover of beauty, nature and life; a committed friend to many; support for Zoë, and beloved spouse of Sandra. We all miss you.

Cory, you have also been survived by your father, Ben; your sister, Trina; and your brothers, Nick and Gerry, and were predeceased by your mother, Alberta. You were born in New York and raised in Detroit, and came home to your beloved Canada to live in Victoria and Courtenay, and on Quadra. Cory, you will now live on in all of our hearts, memories, and inspiration.

A gathering of loved ones, friends, sisters, neighbours and colleagues will celebrate your life at the Quadra Community Centre at 3:15 pm this coming Saturday, August 7th. With quilts and flowers, music and song we will celebrate your time here with us, and mourn your passing. Cory Bee, we have so much love for you.

A shuttle will operate to meet and deliver celebrants from the 2:30 pm ferry to Quadra. Volunteer vehicles will bear blue ribbons. Anyone with any other transportation requirements should call 250-285-2080. Transportation to returning ferries will also be provided.

Anyone wishing to make contributions that reflect Cory’s passions can direct their donation to either Egale (formerly known as Equality for Gays and Lesbians Everywhere, www.egale.ca), or The Council of Canadians (www.canadians.org).

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
