July 15, 1941 - June 25, 2018
With sadness we announce the passing of Curtis Hocking on June 25, 2018 at Comox Valley Seniors Village. Curtis was born on July 15, 1941 in Russell Manitoba. He and Jill, his wife of 54 years, raised their family in the communities of Nanaimo and Parksville.

Curtis had a lifelong passion for boats of all kinds, cruising with Jill, crafting wooden boats as a hobby and living for 22 years in float home community in Ladner, B.C. In retirement, he and Jill took up RVing, spending several winters in Arizona and in 2010 moved to Comox, B.C. He enjoyed woodworking, small engines, his stroke groups and the Comox Seniors Center. Curtis was always eager to help out a friend or neighbour and never backed away from a challenge, even after his stroke in 2002. He enjoyed the company of dear friends and family and took great pride in his three children and their families.

Curtis is survived by his wife Jill, son Craig (Shelley), daughters Karen (Marcus Bright) and Christel (Al Benjaminsen), brother Dennis and sisters Thora (Brian Gilchrist) and Lila Mclean and 4 grandchildren.

Thank you to Dr. Trevor Shoesmith and the staff of Comox Valley Seniors Village for their compassionate care. By his request no service will be held.

A donation may be made to the Comox Valley Senior Support Society 491 4th St, Courtenay, BC V9N 1G9 or the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation 101 Lerwick Rd, Courtenay, B.C V9N 9Z9.
