July 25, 1925 - September 3, 2018
Cyril (Cy) passed away peacefully at Hospice in Comox,B.C.

Cy was born in Comox and lived most of his 93 years in Victoria,B.C.

Retiring from an impressive career with the Government of Canada as Superintendent in charge of operations at the Esquimalt Graving Dock, he lived the past 15 years in Bowser, B.C. Predeceased by the love of his life, Shirley and his eldest child, Linda, Cy is survived by his children Barb(Bob), Clarke(Ruth), Sharon(Doug), John(Lynn); his12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and his sister Lynn.

Dad was an avid outdoorsman, and valued the time spent with his hunting buddies on the many hunting trips. He also loved to go fishing, delighting in sharing his catch - it was common family knowledge that he really didn't care to eat salmon!

Dad's last days were spent surrounded by his family and he delighted in having us all around, loving his role as Dad, Granddad and Great Grandpa.

"He's Gone Fishing..."

And it's okay, we love him and miss him. He can Rest in Peace now.

The Family wishes to acknowledge and thank the incredible caregivers who came into our lives and supported Dad - your guidance and advice was invaluable. Dr. Sue Hunter and your team, we can not begin to explain what your support has meant to us. Thank you so much!

A thank you also goes to the compassionate folks at Yates Memorial Services in Parksville.

At Cy's request we will celebrate his life privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory could be made to support Hospice at the Views: Comox Valley Hospice Society 102-1509 Cliffe Ave Courtenay, BC V9N 2K6
