Dale Edward Wiedenman, aged 89, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, whose quiet strength and gentle nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dale was born on September 4, 1935, to Brenda and Edward Wiedenman, who predeceased him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Malinda Wiedenman; his children, Joseph Wiedenman, Paulette (Jim) Bulley, and Daliah (Daniel) Lundquist; and his cherished grandchildren, Brian Bulley, Kyle Bulley, Katelyn Wiedenman, Brenna Wiedenman, Darren Lundquist, Ryan Lundquist, and Colin Lundquist.
Dale's legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren, Murphy Bulley, Robert Bulley, Harlyn Bulley, and Yara Lundquist.
He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Frances (Jim) Sommen, and his nieces and nephews, Sherry Dahl, John Sommen, and Jimmey Sommen.
Dale was a kind-hearted man with a deep love for nature. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, finding peace in the great outdoors through camping and fishing. His professional career began at B.C. Telephone, where he worked as a Splicer until his retirement at age 55. Dale continued his industrious spirit by managing an apartment block for 26 years.
In his leisure time, Dale could often be found at the local A&W, enjoying morning coffee and conversation. He treasured drives to Comox Goose Spit and Cumberland Lake, taking in the beauty of the surroundings with his lifelong friend, Bobby.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Comox Valley Funeral & Crematorium, located at 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, BC. Family and friends are invited to gather to honour Dale's memory and celebrate his remarkable life.
Dale's warmth, wisdom, and quiet presence will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
