BELL, Daniel Graham

Dec.26th 1938---Feb.24th 2010

On Feb 24th Dan Bell checked out with his boots on. It is with musical memories and a song in our hearts we remember a wonderful Husband, an amazing Dad, a loving brother and uncle, and the best Grampa that ever there was.

Dan Bell was born and raised in the Comox Valley and ventured to the Campbell River area in business years. Proud and strong Dan was all about family, friends and community; a volunteer firefighter, ambulance attendant, aux R.C.M.P. member, security officer, entrepreneur and Rotarian.

Larger than life Dan’s optimism was contagious and his respect of Mother Nature always present, but the melody of his life was his passion for music. An accomplished musician and performer, Dan played Banjo and Guitar, writing, recording and travelling he danced his way into the hearts of many and fulfilled every part of his being with a smile and a song. Dan’s incredible sense of humour and charismatic nature made him memorable and truly one of a kind. Dan’s philosophy: “It’s All Good”.

Married for 50 years, Dan is survived by his wife Doreen Bell, daughter’s: Danette Bell (Derek Smith) Diana Shillito (Bill Shillito) and granddaughters: Marissa, Britany and Jessica Shillito, many family members with a large extended family of friends.

Forever loved, Forever missed catch you in Dixieland Heaven Dad
