In Loving Memory ~
Our beloved David passed away on December 19, 2021 at the age of 90.
David was born in Chatham, Ontario and then moved to Windsor, Ontario around age 9. He was the 2nd oldest to Dorothy May and David Troy Sr. David has an older sister Helen (deceased) and a younger sister Shirley, who currently resides in Windsor, Ontario. Sadly David's younger brother, Richard passed away when he was a child.
David joined the RCAF in 1951 and worked as an Aero Engine Technician and then later re-mustered to Radar Systems. David retired after 25 years and then built an auto-body shop and purchased a car lot in Cold Lake, Alberta. In 1975, David and his wife, Elizabeth and their children moved to the Comox Valley. They had previously been posted to the Comox Valley in the early 1960's. David started Triple D Freightways in 1975 and drove trucks until he retired.
David is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Troy and their 4 children, Deborah Clarke, Richard Troy, Michael Troy, Karen Troy and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece and nephews.
We would like to thank all of our friends and neighbours for their outpouring of love, cards and support during this sad time. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the hospital staff on 3A & 4A for the wonderful care he received.
David will be greatly missed by his family and memories of him will be forever treasured.
