Born February 5, 1935 in Stettler, Alberta, he passed away at home in Courtenay, British Columbia on September 21, 2008.
He will be sorely missed by his loving wife Joyce, daughters Darlene (George), Deanna (Charlie) and his son Jim (Gillian), his grandchildren Amber, Stephen, Jim, Mya and Brody, and his great-granddaughter Aurora.
He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 38 years, retiring as a Major in 1991. He thoroughly enjoyed his career and working with the many wonderful men and women he met in his many postings.
In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, assisting his family, friends and neighbours, and his work with the Technical Officer’s Reunion. He was a good neighbour and a valued friend.
He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Comox Valley Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, P.O. Box 1225, Comox, BC V9N7Z8.
