Diana passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 25, 2004 at Glacier View Lodge. Diana is predeceased by her parents William and Charlotte Smith, and brother John. She is survived by her husband Leonard; brothers and sisters Elaine, Edward, Louisa and Richard; her children Douglas, Bruce (Donna), Michael and Debra (James); and her grandchildren Chery, Richard, Bruce Jr., Tim, David, Samantha, Kyle and Rebecca.
A Memorial Service was held at the Air Force Association Branch #888 on Monday, November 29, 2004. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all the staff of Glacier View Lodge for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glacier View Lodge Society at 2450 Back Road, Courtenay, BC V9N 9G8.
