Conarroe - Don
1940 ~ 2006
Don Conarroe passed away on February 11, peacefully by the side of his longtime companion Marilyn Fairbrother. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Cindy (grandson Irish), son David (granddaughter Brittany), sister Betty and by numerous relatives & friends.
Born in Lloydminister, Sask. The Conarroe family moved to the Comox Valley when Don was a child. He had a great love and appreciation for the Valley, often referring to it as “paradise”. Although he worked as a journeyman carpenter for several years, underneath was a natural artistic ability and green thumb that he held with great pride. Don was always happy, playing golf at Longlands with his three buddies Gord, Jane and Spike.
A special thanks to all the medical support which Don received during his illness and to those who brought joy, comfort and company in his last days. Don requested no service to be held but would rather the SPCA and Canadian Cancer Society be recognized in his memory.
