Passed away at home with his wife in Comox, B.C. on July 4th, 2009. He was predeceased by his grandparents. Don is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 11 years, Dawn as well as his brother Aaron Harley (Cynthia), his sister Wanda Bodily (Len), his nieces and nephews in Port Alberni, B.C.; Melissa, Tony, Emily, Lizzy, Noelle, Kathleen and Maxx, Randy in Victoria, B.C. and in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; Sidney, Krystal, Amanda and Samantha and several uncles and aunts. Don was a veteran of the gulf war with 23 years service, 10 with the army and 13 with the navy with rank of Petty Officer 2nd class stationed in Halifax, Nova Scotia for ten years and 13 years in B.C. If friends so wish donations in Don’s memory made to Brain Cancer Research would be gratefully appreciated. A Celebration of Don’s life will be held at the Courtenay Legion on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 2pm - 4pm.
