MILLER
Donald Bruce
February 7, 1948 - June 3, 2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the love of my life and my best friend. Don was born in Pennsylvania on February 7, 1948. He fought cancer for a long time and passed away peacefully in my arms at home on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in Comox. Don is survived by his parents Harry & Peggy Miller Jr. of Prescott, Arizona; partner Paula Moxey of Comox; daughter Oriana Belliveu-Miller of Quadra Island; and sister Pam Hogarth (Mike) of Los Angeles, California. He was a commercial fisherman and owned the West Gyle vessel, a landscaper and picked wild products. He enjoyed carving and beachcombing. Don was a passive, kind man and loved nature. A Memorial Service will be held at the COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. He will be remembered by friends and family as a warm, loving, caring person and will be always kept in our hearts. For those wishing donations in Don's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society - Comox Valley, Unit #102 - 1509 Cliffe Ave., Courtenay, B.C. V9N 2K6.
