Don died of Pulmonary Fibrosis on October 15, 2004. Don graduated from Magee High School in 1942 and enlisted in the R.C.A.F. completing pilot training in 1943 and then “loaned” to the R.A.F., flying twin-engine low level attack B-25 Mitchells till 1945 end of European War. Thereafter he distributed H.V.A.C. products and engaged in the leasing of aircraft and heavy equipment. It can be said Don was “hooked” on fishing and spend 15 winters in Baja Sur landing the big ones and many summers jigging for salmon at Deep Bay. Internment at Cumberland Cemetery entrusted to Piercy’s.
