Doris passed away peacefully in Mountain View, Comox Valley at the age of 94. She was surrounded by loving family. After growing up in Toronto, Ontario she married, worked and raised her family in Unionville, Ontario. In her later years she retired with her husband, Lawrence (Larry) Judson Hurst to Eagle Bay, BC. They enjoyed many years living by the Shuswap Lake and were active in community and social activities. She was an avid artist and craftsperson who has created an abundance of beautiful pieces that will continue to be admired and adored by many. She was a true inspiration and has been described as a woman of strength, grace and integrity. She was a much-loved friend to so many, and will be remembered and cherished by her children and their spouses, Brian and Janet, David and Lorna, Lori and Glenn, Scott and Ruth; grandchildren, Bobbi-Jo, Darrell, Amanda, Michael, Amber, Amy and her beloved ten great-grandchildren.
