Clarke, Doris Irene (Nana)
1926-2002
Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia November 12, 1926. Nana passed away peacefully December 6, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. Nana has lived in Cumberland since 1971. Nana was predeceased by her parents Robie and Elizabeth Riley, and her son Gary Clarke (Kris). Nana is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Edson (Papa); their children: Michael (Nancy), Keith, Greg, Pamela (Ken); grandchildren: Nicole, Shannon (Bruce), Alisha (Randy), David, Gary Jr., Merissa, Sarah and Mandy; great grandchildren: Montana, Madison, Dakota and Jacob; siblings: Kathleen, Ron, Joyce, Basil and Calvin; nieces: Sharon, Diane, Linda and Claudia. Many thanks to Dr. Helmer, the Homecare Workers, and the 3rd floor nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Nana was loved by all. A Celebration of life was held on Monday, December 9th. PIERCY’S FUNERAL HOME entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
