1921 - 2007

Passed away peacefully at Extended Care, St. Joseph’s Hospital September 15, 2007.

She was born in Edmonton, Alberta on May 28, 1921 and was a long time resident of the Comox Valley. She very much enjoyed her baking, flowers, Evergreen Choristers and her weekly coffee group. She was loved dearly and will be missed.

Predeceased by her loving husband Cecil of 52 years in 1999.

Survived by children: Eileen (Larry) Wangler, Courtenay, David (Brenda) Phillips, Williams Lake, B.C., Nora (Bill) Whyte, Courtenay; grandchildren: Michelle (Marc) Szameitat, Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Bryan Wangler, Courtenay, David (Milia) Whyte, Kevin Whyte, Kristy Whyte (Steven Barteaux), Cameron Whyte, all of Courtenay; great-grandchildren: Brittany, Andrew, and Chelsea Szameitat, Wetaskiwin, Alberta; sister Mabel Crawford; nieces: Evelyn and Pat Crawford, Burnaby, B.C.; nephew Geoff Nicholson; nieces: Pat Van Munster, Kathy Nelson and families.

A gathering of family and friends in remembrance of Marjorie will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2007. 3:00 pm at the Evergreen Senior’s Lounge (Florence Filberg Centre), 411 Anderton Ave., Courtenay with Rev. Ray Brandon officiating.

If desired, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital Extended Care for the purchase of a new piano (please specify piano fund) or to the S.P.C.A.
