Born Feb.11 1934 – Left her body June 18 2021 ~
Survived by her Husband Brian Curson and her children Kelly Hougham (husband Doug), Jaymie Collins (wife Sylvia) & Dan Collins (wife Shauna). Her brother Don Soutar.
Doris was a beloved Grandmother of a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren and she will be greatly missed by all.
Mom (Doris) loved Jesus and was a firm believer in the afterlife and she spoke frequently about longing to see her besty Betty Wakeling in heaven and dance a jigg or two.
One of Doris perennial saying was “Don’t let anyone steal your joy” and therein lies the heart of who she was by doing all she could to bring joy to those around her.
Doris loved to socialize and in particular luncheon and dinner gatherings and in general any soiree that was happening, so if you knew Doris and you are reading this, raise a glass to her at your next meal, she would love it!
The following lyrics are from a Vince Gill song and seem fitting to Doris
“Go rest high on that mountain”
“Mom your work on earth is done”
“Go to heaven a shoutin”
“Love for the father and the son”Obituary
