In Loving Memory ~
After a difficult battle with cancer, Doris Vivian Messer passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family
Born in Pangman, Saskatchewan to Bruce and Pearl White, Doris moved to BC at a very early age. It was there that she met Walter and fell in love. They went on to be married for nearly 67 years and had two children together. With Walter in the armed forces, they travelled much of the world and eventually worked their way west across Canada to settle down in Royston, BC
Doris was a fiercely dedicated Wife, Mother, Nana and Great-Nana raising two equally dedicated children. Mom was our biggest cheerleader and our constant supporter. Our family would not be where it is today if we didn't have Doris as a mother.
Doris leaves behind her loving husband Walter, her daughter Sheryl (John), her son Jim (Shelley), six grandchildren and six great grandchildren (almost seven!). At any time she could tell you all of their names, spouses names, wedding dates, birthdates and how they were doing!
