It is with great sorrow that we let you know that our mom, Doris Waugh (nee Kelly), passed away peacefully in Nanaimo General Hospital on April 4, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born in Lac la Nonne, Alberta and moved to British Columbia with her parents when she was a young girl. She attended junior and senior high in Nanaimo. She married the love of her life, Bob, in 1949 and they were married for 43 years. Doris dedicated her life to being a mother and wife. She was an avid curler and golfer, loved to camp and travel in their RV, and really enjoyed going to the casino. She was extremely independent and loved living in the Terraces where she was very active in the Social Club and as a member of the community.
Doris was predeceased by her husband Bob, brothers Peter and Bob, sisters Winnie and Sybil, and her dear friend Dave. She is survived by her sons Bob (Maureen), Don (Helene), Bill (Sharon) and Al (Sue), 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed. Rest in peace.
