Idiens, Dorothy
Dorothy Idiens of Comox, B.C. passed away on April 10, 2001 at the age of 81. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children Alan (Marion) Idiens, Wendy Stout, Sandy (Jim) Rae, Peggy Wabie, and grandchildren Lisa (Ken) McEachnie, Sherry (Bill) Aitken, John Jordan, Helen (Don) Stratford, Sheryl (Clint) Barnum, Bob (Shauna) Stout, Jack (Audry) Stout, Joanne (Brent) Linkletter and her 19 great grandchildren.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband David Idiens, grandson, Lucas Wabie, and brother Walter Devereux. Knowing that they are supremely happy together in the next world, gives us comfort.
Dorothy enjoyed helping the elderly and was one of the wonderful women in the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary who give so generously of their time to help others in need. Dorothy lived a full, active life and was an accomplished golfer, enjoyed gardening, painting, walking (Freddie), playing with her great grandchildren and joining the ladies for coffee.
A service will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 3:00 p.m. at the Comox Hospital Chapel.
On Saturday, May 4th, 3:00 p.m. at 1785 Astra Road, friends are invited to join Dorothy’s family for a celebration of her life.
