Doug passed away peacefully at his home in Courtenay BC at the age of 53.
His is survived by his son James Hayden Law, his parents Ray and Win Marocchi, his faithful companion Isis along with many others he considered family and friends.
Doug chose his own path in life and never waivered from it. The people he considered family were treated with respect and honesty. He was always the first one there if any one of his people needed help. He always said I love you, and meant it. He had a contagious laugh and a magnetism that few possess. People were drawn to him. He lived a million lives and thought he would never die..
In Doug's words "I don't want a funeral. I want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered around my Mom's kitchen so she has to clean up after me one last time." He had the best sense of humour.
There will be a celebration of Douglas' life on July 25, 2011, anyone that wishes to attend can call Jennifer at 250.461.6726.
