Passed away unexpectedly at work on Friday, January 24th, 2003 at the age of 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife Coleen; daughter Marina; son Kevin; parents Maurice and Gladys Devost; father-in-law Carl Larsen; siblings Dale (Peggy), Lynn (Larry), and Gary (Lorraine); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Our beloved Dougie: husband, dad, son, brother and friend. A true humanitarian, he loved people, and people loved him. His ability to make friends was amazing. He had great pride: pride in his family, and pride in his work. We shall miss his kind heart, quick wit, loving nature. We will treasure all our precious memories, most of them surrounded in laughter. He will be missed terribly.
There will be a Memorial Service for Dougie on Thursday, January 30th, 2003 at 2:00 PM in Piercy’s Funeral Home with Pastor Stefan Schmaling officiating.
