October 5, 1917 - August 17th, 2013
Born in a log cabin in Bangor, Saskatchewan, youngest of 10 children, “Eddie”, 95, died peacefully with family by his side, at his home in Glacier View Lodge, Courtenay. He is predeceased by Betty, his wife of almost 58 years and granddaughter, Laura. He leaves behind his 3 daughters; Diane, Lorraine (Malcolm), Susan (Marv), and was “The Greatest Grandpa in the Whole Universe” to Jon (Letitia), Heather (Jeff), Cassie, Caitlyn and Cathy, as well as his great-grandchildren; Emily, Aleyna, Dylan and Lily. He was also a much loved uncle to a great number of nieces and nephews.
“Fast Eddie” loved to share a chuckle at every opportunity by finding the humour in ordinary things. His quick wit, twinkling eyes and cheeky smile will be deeply missed by so many.
We welcome those who would like to attend as we celebrate his life, at the Comox Legion on Saturday, Sept. 14th, 2013 at 1pm.
