Edith Freda Stewart

It is with deep sadness that we announce that our mother Edith passed away peacefully at home at the age of 77 years on December 1, 2009. She was pre-deceased by her husband, our father, Gerald Wesley McLeod in 1987 and her second husband Gordon Douglas Stewart in 1995. She is survived by her sons Roger (Shirley), Ken (Donna), Brian and Bruce McLeod and grandchildren Ashley, Clinton (Lauren), Keith and Wesley. She was the only child of Verner and Lena Springfield, born and raised in North Vancouver. She also leaves an extensive network of dear friends from her time in North Vancouver, Burnaby and Comox. She will be remembered by all for her infectious laughter, zest for life and her love of family. We will all miss her greatly but know that she is in a better place, with those she lost over the years. At Edie's request there will be no service. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C and Yukon would be appreciated. Condolences can be sent to the family at
