Feb 3, 1927 - Apr 11, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Win.

She was predeceased by her husband Richard, brothers Wilfrid, Gordon, Frank and sister Eleanor. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Bill) and Pamela (Bob) and son Michael (Colette), 7 grandchildren Virginia (Travis), Amber (Ryan), Samantha (Joseph), Natalie (James), Scott (Natalie), Garrett (Nellie) and Amelie, and by 10 great grandchildren, Donovan, Sean, Sasha, Chelsey, Avery, Ira, Jasmine, Willa, Simeon and Pender.

Win was born in Ernfold, Saskatchewan, the youngest of 5 children. After her father's sudden death, Win's mother packed up the children and moved to Victoria to care for her father. Win found work at Island Coach Lines as a switchboard operator until she married Richard Hall on August 18, 1951.

Richard first worked for the B.C. Forest Service and then the Credit Union, until he enrolled in Theology at U.B.C. In 1967 he graduated as a minister for the United Church of Canada and the family headed off to Gravelbourg Saskatchewan to begin this new life. In 1970, the

family returned to BC first settling in Kamloops. Later moves took them to Westbank, Burnaby, Campbell River, Enderby, Victoria and finally Courtenay.

Win loved everything about her life, especially her family and pets. She also loved music, playing the piano, dancing, playing cards, quilting and just being around people. In every place she lived, Win would join a choir or two or three. Win loved people and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She loved telling jokes and was always full of laughter. She enjoyed meeting new people and had many friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Casa Loma and Comox Valley Seniors Village for their care, patience and love over the last eleven years. Win was well known for playing piano and for her love of music.

A memorial service will be held at Piercy's Mt. Washington Funeral Home at 440 England Ave., Courtenay, B.C. at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 21, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. would be appreciated.
