In Loving Memory ~
On the morning of January 6th, 2022, Edna passed away at The Views in Comox at the age of 102.
Edna was born in Victoria, British Columbia on September 26, 1919.
She has been part of the Comox Valley since her and her husband, Bev Ward Sr. moved here after WWII.
Edna was very musical and loved playing in the Comox Valley District Band.
In recent years, one of Edna's highlights was celebrating her birthdays at the Blackfin restaurant in Comox, enjoying the views and her long island iced tea.
Believe it or not when Edna turned 100 she went to take the eye test for her driver's license to see if she could pass and guess what?! She did! She maintained her quick wit and was sharp as a tack right until fall of 2021.
Edna is survived by Bev Ward Jr, Raymond Ward, Bonny Gibson and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
I also wanted to thank the staff at The Views and Dr. Wainberg for their compassionate care of Mom.
