Born in Parsborro, Nova Scotia, March 11, 1924. Papa passed away suddenly January 1st, 2003. Papa served in the Canadian Armed Forces throughout Canada as well as overseas. Upon retirement, Papa and his family relocated to Cumberland in 1971 where he worked as a civilian at C.F.B. Comox until his final retirement in 1989. Papa was predeceased by his wife Doris Clarke (December 6th, 2002), his son Gary Clarke (Kris), parents Maxwell and Elsie Clarke, siblings John Clarke and Mary Guthreau. Papa is survived by his children: Michael (Nancy), Keith, Greg, Pamela (Ken); grandchildren: Nicole, Shannon (Bruce), Alisha (Randy), David, Gary Jr., Merissa, Sarah and Mandy; great-grandchildren: Montana, Madison, Dakota and Jacob, siblings Aileen and Nellie. Many thanks to Dr. Helmer. Papa was a friend to all. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 5th, 2003 at the Cumberland Legion. PIERCY’S FUNERAL HOME entrusted with arrangements.
