WOOD - Edward Harold

Passed away on September 27, 2008 in Comox, BC. He was predeceased by his parents John & Nora Wood and his sister Betty Finlay. Ed is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Nina Wood, his daughters Paula (Jerry) Berard and Leah (Andy) McClure, his grandchildren Andrea, Karleen, Mason, Max and Michael, his great grandchildren Kurtis, Ty and Callum as well as his brothers Bill & Jim of Ontario and his sisters Nora and Jacquie of Ontario. Ed served in the Canadian Canadian Navy Reserves and was a member of the Masons. Ed spent many years as a 2nd Class Stationary Engineer in the mining industry. Before retiring he decided to mix business with pleasure by leaving the mining industry and purchasing a commercial fishing boat, which gave him many pleasurable years. In his leisure time Ed enjoyed fishing, hunting and skiing. Ed always worked hard providing a good living for his family. He still always found the time to take his wife and children camping and skiing and also many road trips with his youngest daughter to her dancing competitions. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. No flowers or service by request. Donations in Ed's memory made to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
