WALTERS, Edward “Ted”
December 10, 1939 – Dec 20, 2011
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ted at St Joseph's Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Ted grew up on Vancouver Island, graduated from Victoria High. He got his pilots license while in air cadets. Ted was a food broker for many years, working in Kamloops, Clearwater and on Vancouver Island where he retired. He loved his camping, fishing and making walking sticks. His most recent interest was playing guitar.
He was predeceased by his mother Paula Stephen and is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sylvia (nee Bouchard). They had 3 children, son Rich (Tawny), daughter Valerie (Rob) and Allison (Dave). Grandchildren Kyle, Jordan, Kurtus, Jeff, Cami and Parker. Sisters Judy (Ken), Helen, Vicki. Also his aunt Helen and many nieces & nephews.
We would like to thank Dr. Neufeld for his kind and compassionate care and the staff on the 3rd floor of St. Joseph's. As per Ted's wishes there will be no service. A gathering of family will be held at a later date.
Ted was a great Husband, Dad, Granpa, Son and Brother.
