We sadly announce the passing of Betty, loving wife of over sixty seven years to Bert MacDonald. Survived by Bert and her four sons; Wayne, John (Val), Gary (Jill), Stephen (Heather). Mum finally lost her battle, but not without a fight. Her courageous spirit can serve as an example to us all.
She has left behind children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many fond memories. She and Dad have traveled far together, East Coast to West Coast, south to Arizona as snowbirds in their RV, sharing their love of life with all who were fortunate enough to meet them. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Cumberland Dialysis Clinic for their efforts over the years and St. Joe’s Hospital for making Mum’s last days as comfortable as possible.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church at CFB Comox on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.. If friends so wish, donations in Betty’s memory made to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated
