May 1, 1921 – March 18, 2006

Betty McKierahan passed away on March 18, 2006 at the James Bay Lodge in Victoria, B.C. Betty was born in Toronto but raised mostly in New Westminster, B.C. In her early years she became a gifted musician and studied for some time at the Toronto Conservatory of Music. She developed a lifelong passion for music of all kinds and spent many hours studying, teaching and enjoying the musical accomplishments of others. As a young social worker in Prince George in the 1940’s she met and eventually married her husband Edward.
