February 1st, 1928 to July 1st, 2004
Betty passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital E.C.U. on July 1st, 2004. She is predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1997, son Don in 1996 and brothers Vic, Fred, Ladimer, Mike and Johnny.
She is sadly survived by her boys, Doug, Ray (Pat), Larry (Julie), Wayne (Judy); her grandchildren Korie, Shawn, Mason, Sarah, Devin, Kathleen and Garret; great-grandson Tylan; her brother Peter (Gayle) and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was devoted to her family and had a wonderful sense of humour, which she often needed raising her five boys. She loved her gardening and always enjoyed the company and conversation of her family and friends. She took great pleasure in later years of going to the mall to meet new and old friends.
Betty will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 10th, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
Those who desire may make donations in Betty’s memory to St. Joseph’s General Hospital Extended Care Unit, the place Betty called home for the past year and a half.
Arrangements have been entrusted to PIERCY’S - MT. WASHINGTON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORIUM.
